Village between mountains Kozjak and Mosor, along main road connecting Split with inland. Klis is favorite place for one day trips, you can visit there fort and fort’s historic collection. Local food special is roasted lamp.
The first information about the village are from year 852 as a court of prince Tripimira. Turkey army was occupied Klis in year 1537, they did new disincentives and built mosque. Venetians occupied Klis in year 1648 and rebuilt the fort using a new technology. The mosque was rebuilt to church. The present look is from the last rebuilt.
